We have secured a room block at the Kimpton Marlowe for our wedding. It’s a 4-star hotel in Cambridge, MA that will also serve as the venue for our wedding reception on Saturday, 10/15. The hotel was recently remodelled in 2020, and the guest rooms are comfortable, spacious, and modern. If you just plan to spend only Saturday night in the hotel, check in time is 3pm, so you can head directly to the hotel after the church ceremony and settle in before the cocktail hour at 5pm. Check out is at 12pm, so there’s no rush to depart on Sunday morning. The nightly block rate for a 2 Queen or 1 King room is $299 plus tax. While this might sound expensive, it’s actually one of the cheaper options in Boston for the weekend and well below the hotel’s public nightly rate.
To book a room in our block, you will need to use one of the the two links below:
One night: Sat 10/15 - Sun 10/16There are a limited number of rooms in our block, so we encourage you to book early before they run out. (If the rate shows as not available, it probably means we’ve filled our block. Reach out to us if that happens to you, and we will investigate extending our block once we understand how many extra rooms we need.)
If you change the dates in the search box, it will no longer apply our discount rate for any of the nights. If you’d like to extend your stay, please reach out to us with your requested dates, and we will work with the hotel to build your custom reservation. (Normal hotel rates will apply to any days outside of our contracted block, but you will have one contiguous reservation for your entire stay.)
You should confirm that you are getting the “O’Connor - Sands Wed” rate.
The checkout screen will also display a $22.89/night activity fee. The hotel has agreed to waive that fee for guests that book in our block, so it will not show up in your final bill. Unfortunately, they can’t prevent the fee from displaying on the website. (It’s just software, so we don’t get it either!) You will still have access to all of the hotel’s included amenities (except the $10 restaurant credit); you just won’t be charged an extra nightly fee for them.
Please Note: The activity fee will still apply to bookings made outside of our contracted block.
Please let us know if you have any questions or run into any trouble.
